Paul & Joe Beaute was founded by French Designer Sophie Mechaly in 2002, following the success of her fashion line. The brand is named after Parisian owner and designer Sophie Mechaly’s two sons, Paul & Joe was founded in the 1990s. The cosmetic line has been following same philosophy ‘Accessible Luxury and Fun-Loving Sophistication’. Paul & Joe Beaute features retro modern packaging that projects a unique presence.
Every product features luxurious texture and color that makes each application a pleasure for the skin.
- Cleansing Cream | £22 for 150gms
This is one of the luxurious and rich cleanser I have ever tried. It is one of the velvety creams that provide spa-like experience at your own home. The cream offers a punch of natural benefits from the Mediterranean region, including olive oil from ancient olive trees, organic rosemary essence, and sage oil.
When you start massaging your face with this cleanser it feels like a rich cream but as you go on it changes to slightly fluffy mousse like texture. It takes away all makeup and dirt. It can be used as both day or night cleanser. My skin feels clean, soft and supple without being sticky after every use.
- Herbal Lotion | £32 for 200ml
This is a moisturising herbal lotion for all skin types. The lotion boasts a host of botanicals from the Mediterranean region, including olive oil from ancient olive trees, olive leaf essence, and organic fennel essence, a plant indigenous to the Mediterranean coast. The consistency of this lotion is rich and delivers a punch of hydration along with soothing sensation.
- Paper Masks | Promotional packs
If you love cats and sheet masks, you would absolutely adore these. These paper masks are essentially pre-cut cat face shaped paper thin cotton wool that can be soaked in a lotion of your choice. I like the idea that these can be customized according to the lotion of our choice and we know what goes onto our face. These cotton wool are individually wrapped.
This palette is one of the smallest and self sufficient palettes I have in my collection. This comes in a retro book style packaging. The eyeshadows glide onto eyelids effortlessly and smoothly. These are highly pigmented and have shimmer finish. The shades are long lasting and give soft glow if swept onto cheeks. I absolutely love the shade selection (golds, browns and pinks) in this palette as these give a beautiful soft glam for a day or evening look.
- Waterproof Mascara 01 Black | £19
This waterproof mascara contains conditioning ingredients such as beeswax, jojoba seed oil and orange flower water to care for each and every lash. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous. This mascara features an innovative wand with grooved bristles to curl and define whilst making sure it clings to the lashes for a luscious and fuller look. I just wish it provided great length too..Nevertheless this is a great mascara for instant volume and it stays all day.
- Nail Polish | £12
The first thing you’d notice about these polishes is their vintage inspired bottles. These will look as good on your dresser as on your nails. These polishes come in 25 shades ranging from bright hues to soft, sophisticated and subtle colours. I have the shade 03 Potpourri Petals which is a soft dusty pink and looks beautiful in any weather.
Hope you liked the mini reviews on my small but growing Paul & Joe Beaute Collection. Which products caught your attention? Let me know in the comments.

21 June 2017 at 8:05 PMOh gosh that packaging! Actually Paul & Joe is quite popular in Japan! I think because of the packaging and makeup variety. I had no idea they also have a skincare line, so glad to learn more!

22 June 2017 at 3:56 PMThe herbal lotion is the only thing that caught my eyes but dang, no kidding about the eyeshadow palette if you could even call it that. It’s so tiny!
