How to Set the Mood for Autumn | Fall into Fragrance

Using fragrances to set the mood for autumn may be a great way to embrace the coziness and warmth of the season. Here are some suggestions to assist you in establishing a fragrant fall ambiance in your home:

How to Set the Mood for Autumn | Fall into Fragrance

Scented Candles

Scented candles are a popular choice for setting the atmosphere for any season. Place candles with aromas that are reminiscent of fall in various parts of your house. Put them on the coffee table, the dining room table, or even in the bathroom for a relaxing bath experience.

Potpourri

Arrange dried leaves, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and dried orange peel in beautiful bowls as potpourri. These not only look appealing to the eyes but also release a subtle aroma. Apple slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and other fall-themed spices can be added to a pot of simmering water. Your house will smell beautiful if you let it simmer on low heat.

Fall Floral Arrangements

Add scented fall flowers to your home’s decor, such as dried lavender or roses. The combination of their natural scents and their aesthetics can enhance the autumn mood.

Seasonal Air Fresheners

Use plug-in aroma warmers or seasonal air fresheners that gradually emit autumnal scents. These are simple methods to keep your home consistently scented.

Scented Linens

Spray some light, autumn-inspired scent on your bed linens, drapes, and throw pillows. You can purchase linen sprays or create your own by diluting your essential oils in water. Room Sprays work just fine too and Bath & Body Works does some lovely seasonal scents.

Incense

I know not everyone likes to burn incense sticks or Bakhoor in their homes but I absolutely enjoy seasonal-themed incense sticks. These can quickly fill the whole house with a beautiful scent and add a unique and mystical dimension to your autumn ambiance. I am currently enjoying sandalwood, lavender, and rose incense sticks.

Outdoor Elements

You may also bring outdoor elements indoors to enhance the seasonal ambiance. Leaves, pinecones, and branches can add a natural fragrance and aesthetic to make your home autumn-ready. I also enjoy pampas grass and ornamental bunny tails for autumnal decor.

Until next time, Ashh xo
