Life Changing Baby Products

As an experienced mum of two kids, I thought it would make sense to share my top favourite and life changing baby products here on my blog. This might give some pointers as well as some suggestions to expecting or new mamas.

Baby Nursing Pillow – This nursing pillow has been used for support when baby needs to take naps inclined for times when she has stuffy nose or for tummy times. It is also very useful for supporting baby’s back when she is trying to sit or as a front wrap around support when sitting. So a pillow with a lot more uses than just an aid for nursing. I wanted a neutral grey palette for most of the stuff and this Kinder Valley grey star print nursing pillow (washable cover) from Asda is a cheapie but goodie!

FOREO Issa Mikro Baby Toothbrush* – It feels like just a few weeks back my little baby was born and now she is about 6 months already! She has even got her first two teeth..omg so cute! Taking care of those little milk teeth and gums is important right from the beginning. We have been enjoying using ISSA Baby Mikro Sonic Toothbrush on sprouting teeth of our baby girl. It has soft, body-safe silicone bristles that are gentle on tender gums. Along with non-abrasive brushing mode, it also has massage mode that helps soothing teething babies (like ours). It can also be used even before first teeth appear. Sonic power fights bacterial growth and promotes good oral health. 

Once teeth have emerged the toothbrush covers each one individually for a thorough clean from every angle. It keeps a delicate pressure on gums to soothe and massage with 6000 pulsations per minute. You’ll never need to change the toothbrush’s head, meaning it’s incredibly low maintenance and economical in the long run.

Another lovely feature is glee (happy face smiley) lights up after a full 2 mins of brushing. Glum will show its sad face if baby stops brushing before 2 mins timer is up. Poor Glum will also appear if ISSA Baby hasn’t been used in over 12 hours. Clever!!

Grofriends Ollie the Owl – My Sister-in-law gifted this toy to our Baby Aliana who absolutely adores it. Ollie the Owl creates a lovely soothing environment for the baby to drift off to sleep in, whilst the intelligent CrySensor helps to keep them asleep when they stir. This toy is suitable from birth and comes with 4 soothing sounds – Heartbeat, Rainfall, White Noise static and Brahms Lullaby (CrySensor plays either White Noise or Brahms Lullaby). In the first couple of months, the heartbeat and Brahms Lullaby sounds really aided in sleeping. Later, it has been acting has a playing toy for her. She now giggles when I put Ollie next to her.

Honest Beauty Baby Products* – You might have seen these on my IG stories. I have been using Honest Beauty products (makeup and skincare) on myself but had no idea that the brand did Baby products too! Honest Baby Fragrance-free Shampoo and Body wash is a gentle and mild 2-in-1 formula designed to cleanse the entire body from head to toe. It has naturally derived botanicals that leave skin feeling supremely soft and fresh. The pump packaging is easy to use as I can just pump out the shampoo/body wash with just one hand and can use my other hand to hold the baby. I like to moisturize her skin a few times a day and specially after every bath with Fragrance-free Face & Body Lotion which is a combination of shea butter, olive, jojoba and safflower oils. This gentle lotion is leaves the skin from head to toe feeling soft and supple. The brand also does fragrance-free bubble bath which I am using for my son who is 7 years old. This bubble bath is extra gentle, super-foaming which is formulated with calendula and aloe to delicately cleanse sensitive skin.

Ellie & Raff Plush baby comforter – This is the first toy I bought for my baby. I even packed it in my hospital bag. Though we knew what we were having, I still wanted to buy neutrals as much as possible. Ellie & Raff Plush baby comforter is the perfect baby cuddle blanket. Raff is the giraffe with polka dots. It is so soft and cuddle that baby Aliana just adores it so much! It comforts her and she likes to keep it next to her when she sleeps.

Nuby Icy Bite Teether keys – This little teether has multiple teething surfaces that aid in eruption of new teeth. It is filled with PureICE teething gel that keeps it cool for longer than water filled teethers. This is easy to clean with normal water and can be kept in the refrigerator too.

Baby Feeding Seat – This is the newest addition to our home but such a lifesaver! We have started feeding purees to our baby and we needed a proper chair for the purpose. When my son was younger, we chose a highchair which was fine back then but this time we wanted something compact. A booster feeding seat ticked every box for us. I saw Ingenuity Baby Base 2-in-1 Seat on John Lewis website but due to lockdown, Amazon has been a blessing. Luckily, this feeding chair is available from Amazon. This seat has the following features:
