Gatineau was founded in 1932 by acclaimed Parisian skincare expert Jeanne Gatineau. The brand combines natural ingredients with cutting edge bio-technology to create highly effective skincare that delivers visible and lasting results.
I have been a fan of Gatineau Perfection Ultime range specially the retexturizing cream which I shared on my blog here. Gatineau has just added another product to its much-loved Perfection
Ultime™ collection, with the launch of the Radiance Energizing Eye Concentrate | £55 for 15 ml. I (along with some other testers) received lab samples before product went into production few months ago and used the samples for a while. I was lucky to get my hands on the full size product to test a little longer before the product release which gave me an opportunity to share my thoughts in depth.
The eye concentrate is designed to revitalise the eye area, reduce puffiness and dark circles and help to smooth fine lines. Featuring a lightweight consistency, this peeper perfector instantly absorbs into the skin to leave the eye area silky smooth and instantly refreshed. The impressive formula includes Horse Chestnut Seed Extract and Yeast Extract that work together to boost circulation, smooth lines and reduce inflammation. It also provides long lasting hydration, helping to refresh and soothe tired eyes.
Packaging
The serum comes in a white opaque bottle with a pump packaging making it easier to dispense product without any wastage.
Key Ingredients
- Horse Chestnut Seed Extract – boosts circulation, helps decongest the eye ducts and smooths lines
- Yeast Extract – fights puffiness around the eyes
- Sweet Almond Oil – promotes smooth, plump and youthful-looking skin
- Vitamin C – powerful anti-oxidant benefits, brilliant boosting of collagen levels, it’s radiance inducing effect and the fact it helps to treat photo-damaged skin and reverse the effects of uneven skin tone.
- Anti-oxidants – A protective mechanism which helps to restore damaged skin cells
- Proteins – Body’s essential building blocks
- Peptides – tricks the skin into manufacturing new collagen
- B Vitamins – offers a gentle anti-inflammatory effect
Consistency
The serum concentrate has ultra-lightweight gel consistency that absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving any residue. The consistency is ideal for summer months when we do not require heavy and rich texture creams.
How to Use
Apply half a pump of the serum Morning and/or evening using your ring finger over the entire eye contour.
Benefits
- Reduces Puffiness
- Increases Hydration
- Smooths fine lines
- Reduces Dark Circles
- Boosts Circulation
- Provides Radiance
Overall thoughts
The eye concentrate serum is delicately scented (almost unnoticeable within few seconds) and has ultra lightweight gel-like consistency which helps in quick absorption. The light weight consistency also makes it perfect for all skin types and it works great under makeup as well. The serum instantly boosts hydration into the skin and plumps the skin. This in turn helps reduce fine lines, puffiness and dark circles. Under eye contour looks healthy and it appears you had a good night sleep. If used during the day, it serves as perfect canvas and makeup sits seamlessly over it. This serum is perfect for all ages and addresses uneven skin tone and texture as well as lack of radiance.
This eye concentrate serum will be available at Gatineau website. The serum is currently available at QVC UK.
Until next time

26 August 2018 at 8:51 AMNothing really helps with my puffy eyes because they are due to ageing and not lack of sleep. However, I still live in hope that one day something may l come along and improve them. xx
