Last week, I was invited to attend an event by Clinique in Debenhams, intu Milton Keynes. It was a weekday and in the evening so there were not many attendees but I really like it because we got more time to interact with the lovely Suzie who greeted us so well. She talked about the new launches by Clinique UK, showed us the newest Crayola chubby sticks which were to be launched in their store day after. We played with the Crayola sticks and it was so much fun! Clinique also planned a Crayola launch event where anyone can come and try these chubby sticks and kids were to be given crayola crayons to play with. How cool is that!
Suzie showed us the Gift sets that were available to choose from during their recent offer of Gift with purchase. The *gift set included both skincare and makeup bits in a beautiful washbag. She talked about Clinique 3-step skincare system and also the products that were included in the gift set. The gift set is available with the purchase of two or more products, one to be skin care or foundation.
Both gift sets contained Clinique pep-start 2-in-1 exfoliating cleanser, Dramatically different moisturizing lotion, pep-start eye cream, high impact mascara and a choice between Glamorous & Golden palette with Nude lip or Soft & Smokey with Bold lip. Both palettes are Limited edition. These gift sets comes in Orange or Lemon Makeup Bag. I chose the Orange one!
Most of the products included in this set have been tried and tested by me earlier (as seen on my instagram, these are often included in my skincare or makeup photos) so reviewing them was not a problem. The only things new to me were the Limited edition palette and the lip product. I was so excited to try these and OMG these are amazing. The lip product in my bag was accidently replaced but I do really like this shade as it suits me more. I have the Sweetheart Pop matte lip + primer which is a beautiful Fuchsia shade that makes me look brighter. Its a fun colour and looks so pretty in photos. The mini limited edition palette is gorgeous. It has All about shadow Daybreak and Chocolate covered Cherry & Blushing blush powder Blush in Sunset Glow to suit my warmer complexion.
Pep-start 2-in-1 exfoliating cleanser has environment friendly beads which helps in taking off the dead skin and give you a smooth, brighter skin. This was also a part of pep-start gift set that I bought during Christmas. Next comes the dramatically different moisturizing lotion. I really like this for when my skin is dry and needs a bit of TLC. On most days, I use the gel version of the dramatically different moisturizing range (as seen on my instagram) and I really like it for my combination skin. The lotion formula is very good too. Its richer that the gel so quite useful for colder months. Pep-start eye cream was also a part of the gift set I bought earlier. Glad I got a backup now. Its really good to keep your under-eyes well moisturized, helps with dark circles and de-puffing the eyes. I like the rounded tip of this tube. It is a perfect applicator for applying cream to the delicate under eye skin.
High impact mascara, oh my Gosh is my old favorite and I have 3 back ups of this already. This is really a very good mascara to build substantial length and thickness to your lashes. This is one of my favourite mascaras for sure.
The wash bag has same cute orange print as its on the limited edition palette. The lined bag is decent size and would be very handy for travel specially with liquids. This gift set is available until Saturday 18 February 2017 at Debenhams.
We clicked lots of photos and uploaded videos on instastories. It was so much fun! I wish I took my DSLR with me. I purposefully left it at home because at Kiko store opening event in intu MK, store staff asked me to click pics on phone and not take out my professional camera. The reason being store was fully loaded with shoppers. Anyways, lesson learnt! Here are some of the photos & clips 🙂
If you made it to this far, I hope you enjoyed the post. Thank you for reading 🙂
