If you’re a Beauty Enthusiast, you would know Charlotte released two limited edition lipsticks – English Beauty & American Sweetheart recently. I absolutely love the names and the card packaging of these. I am an old fan of Charlotte Tilbury products and am obsessed with her lipstick formulas.
If you read my thoughts on her gorgeous Opium Noir Lipstick on my blog recently, you would have guessed how amazing the formula of her lipsticks are!
The rose gold bullets are luxurious and always stand out amongst other lipsticks. The card packaging of these limited edition lipsticks is stunning too. I love that Charlotte chose English & American theme packaging for respective lipsticks.
Both English Beauty & American Sweetheart are gorgeous everyday shades that can be worn from desk to disco. English Beauty has naturally nude pink shade while American Sweetheart has tawny pink shade. Both lipsticks work really well with light minimal makeup look or with smokey eyes.
My love for Charlotte’s lipsticks started with my very first lippy – Bond Girl which is from the Matte Revolution range. I later discovered kissing lipsticks are amazing too.
English Beauty is from Matte Revolution range (square angled tip) and has soft matte finish. It doesn’t dry out lips and is extremely comfortable on the lips.
American Sweetheart on the other hand is from the Kissing range (traditional bullet tip) and has a moisturising finish. This is very creamy and gives a polished look to any makeup.
The lipsticks are extremely pigmented and last incredibly long. Matte Revolution lipsticks always stay more than 6 hours on me but I was surprised kissing lipstick stayed amazingly well too.
Shade and formula wise I love both lipsticks. The colour is flattering on my skin tone. Its usually hard to find a nude shade that looks nice on medium skintone. My nudes are usually darker than these but I was pleasantly surprised seeing how well these compliment my skin tone. I think I will prefer American Sweetheart more towards spring when I want creamy lips and English Beauty is like any time go-to pick for me now! The shades go really well for day time desk look to night time smokey/disco look.
Until next time
