Viva la Juicy Gold Couture - Ms Tantrum Blog

Viva La Juicy Gold Couture is a new version of the Viva La Juicy fragrance from 2008 by Juicy Couture that indulges the senses with luscious wild berries, a kiss of honeysuckle and a luxurious elixir of golden amber, melted caramel, and vanilla.

She is couture all the way. Spinning an addictive web of glamour and decadence at the center of her golden world. For her, all that glitters is gold. Her fragrance, Viva la Juicy Gold Couture.

About the Brand

“Once upon a time in a land far, far away called Pacoima there were two nice girls who liked stuff. Juicy Couture swept the land & they lived happily ever after”.

Juicy Couture introduced their first fragrance ‘Juicy Couture’ in 2006, ten years after their line of popular casual clothes was established. Juicy Couture fragrances have adopted the fanciful, feminine charm that make their clothes and accessories so enchanting – resulting in scents that are different, irresistible & fascinating.

Packaging

Most Juicy Couture fragrances come in a similar type of packaging. Their bottles are usually flashy and over the top like

Notes and Composition

Top Notes:

Wild Berries

Heart Notes:

Jasmine Sambac, Honeysuckle

Base Notes:

Sandalwood, Amber, Caramel, Vanilla

The fragrance is created by Honorine Blanc and is a decadent version of the original. I do not own the original Viva La Juicy fragrance as the packaging never spoke to me but the notes in Gold Couture are attention worthy if you like Caramel or Sweet fragrances (but not overly sweet).

This golden composition opens with the luscious wild berries following with a heart of Sambac Jasmine and Honeysuckle. The base is all about warm aromas of sandalwood, golden amber, caramel and vanilla elixir making it a perfect sweet fragrance for cold weather.

The fragrance is available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml bottle sizes and can be purchased from Notino.

Projection and Longevity

The fragrance has a moderate projection and needs top up after about 5 hours on my skin which in my opinion is not bad. I anyways do not like overly sweet fragrances and this one has a right balance. If I spritz this fragrance on a blouse or a scarf, it stays a bit longer.

Overall Thoughts

Honestly I am not a fan of the packaging but the juice inside the bottle is worth appreciation. Its one of the most beautiful sweet scents which is not overpowering. Caramel notes stand out for sure. The fragrance has moderate projection and longevity but it does stay a it longer if spritz on clothes like a scarf or blouse. This fragrance would make your man crazy about you and is definitely a compliment-getter specially from men.

Until next time
