I’m worth it. Baby I’m worth it. Uh huh I’m worth it!!! Well, today I’m sharing some products (both makeup & skincare) that are really worth every single penny.
My regular readers might be bored of seeing this product on my blog again and again but I am never tired of recommending this enough. The sculpt/bronzer in this palette is not right for my skin tone and it just doesn’t show up! However, the highlighter gives such a beautiful glow that no other powder highlighter has provided me yet. Its very very finely milled so looks natural on the skin. I heard that the bronzer of palette for darker skin tones looks better on medium skintones but highlight on that palette may not be for us brown girls. I wish Charlotte does a new kit with bronzer from the dark palette and highlighter from the Light palette to make it perfect for us Light-Medium skin tones. A choice of customizing the palette by doing singles would be a great idea too. Honestly, I will be buying this again and again until I find anything better than this. For me, just the highlight part in the kit justifies the money I spent on this little kit.
- Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer | £17.50
Its weightless, its feathery, it does not crease and it is the best concealer I have ever tried! This provides medium to full build-able coverage and blends beautifully. According to the website, ‘Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer helps improve skin’s youthful appearance and elasticity’. I can’t say if it improves skin’s elasticity but it definitely doesn’t ages me. Seriously, I should not have wasted my money trying many other concealers and wish I had tried this before. This is hands down the best! I have the shade Medium Dark Warm which matches my skin so I use this for any spots or pigmentation and I will be buying Medium Light Neutral next for highlighting my under eye area. Highly recommend!
- Pixi Glow Tonic | £18
Ever since I started using PGT, my skin has been so much better. I hardly suffer from clogged pores or dull skin. My skincare has definitely improved over years and that does play a good role but I know what a dramatic difference it made to my skin, the first time i used this. I could notice instant results. Frequent uses may not lead to instant noticeable results (because your skin had already improved from regular use of this) but it definitely makes a difference every single time. This toner is a great exfoliant and does not irritate my sensitive skin. Has anyone compared this to Clinique or Clarins Exfoliant Toners? I’m quite keen to know how these compare. Do let me know in the comments.
This is a multipurpose dry oil that can be used on face, body or hair. It is not sticky and is very light on the skin. The scent is calming that helps me relax. I usually use this on my face, neck and chest before sleeping every night and it makes me fell asleep quickly (may be its just in my mind but I really am addicted to this oil). Most ingredients are natural in Nuxe products and that’s the reason it is idle for my sensitive skin. I also keep the travel size version of this in my bag for emergency purposes and it is a holy grail oil for me. Amazing product!
- Caudalie Beauty Elixir | £11.50
Caudalie Beauty Elixir smoothes the skin, tightens pores, and gives the complexion a burst of radiance instantly. The smell is very fresh, calming and slightly minty which is due to its natural ingredients like Grape, orange blossom, rose, organic balm mint and rosemary. This is an excellent base for make-up, this water awakens the skin in the morning and livens it up before a night out.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir is a favourite of Victoria Beckham’s – she uses it on top of her make-up for a glowing complexion!
I really wanted to understand the hype behind this mist spray. So, I chose the travel size version of this mist which is 30ml and now I’m ready to purchase a bigger bottle and keep this for my bag. Anyone who has tried this knows this beauty elixir really does live up to the hype!!!
- Caudalie Detox Mask | £22
This is the best skin resetting mask I have ever tried. It is a pink clay mask that draws out impurities and gunk to alleviate congestion from your skin and gives you a softer skin with smaller pores. This mask gently eliminates dulling dead skin cells to refine skin texture and create a smoother, light-reflective surface so you look instantly more luminous. I apply a thin layer on clean and dry skin and leave it for 10 minutes and then wash it off with water or remove it with the help of wash cloth. I do use this once a week but this definitely is my quick fix facial before special occasions.
