Sicily Eau de Parfum from Mancera Paris

Sicily from Mancera Paris

I hear about Mancera Fragrances quite a lot in the Fragrance Community. Mancera and Montale are both the same group with the same M logo as well. It is believed that Montale fragrances are slightly more traditional, heavy and beast-mode (performance-wise) while Mancera makes more fresh modern fragrances with airy and light feel to them. Montale was founded by Pierre Montale in 2003 and 5 years later PM created Mancera with his daughter Emily.

This is my first bottle from Mancera Paris and I’m very pleased. To be honest, I was looking to purchase Cedrat Bois first but bought this one as blind buy judging from the notes mentioned on the website. If you’re looking to try Fragrances from designer houses then Yves Saint Laurent perfume is a good one to start with but if you’re looking to explore the niche world, Mancera fragrances are a fab choice.

Sicily is a citrus-fruity fragrance for both genders. It was launched in 2016 and Pierre Montale was the nose behind this fragrance. Top notes include juicy and citrusy notes of peach, tangerine, bergamot, pineapple, apple, grapefruit. Middle notes are all floral – Jasmine, Violet, Rose & Ylang Ylang while the base is musky and woody.

  • Top Notes – Peach, Tangerine, Bergamot, Pineapple, Apple, Grapefruit
  • Middle Notes – Jasmine, Violet, Rose, Ylang-Ylang
  • Base Notes – White Musk, Woody Notes
  • Fragrance Category – Citrus

The fragrance comes in 60 ml and 120 ml glass bottles with a screw top golden lid. The bottle comes with a pouch and a card box. The Mancera fragrances lids also fit on Montale bottles :).

Sicily by Mancera Paris

Mancera Sicily is a very zesty, fresh, bright and uplifting fragrance. It is not only a great warm-weather fragrance but also works fab in the winters. This is a joyful, day-time cheerful fragrance that screams sunshine and makes you happy! Though Mancera markets this fragrance as Unisex, it slightly leans towards women due to the floral aspect to it.

This is a potent fragrance and projects strongly for about 3-4 hours and gradually stays close to the skin. The overall longevity of this fragrance on my skin is about 10 hours. It is hard to find a citrus fragrance that lasts.

Sicily from Mancera Paris

It is a very juicy citrus fragrance that smells like a perfect basket of oranges, tangerine, bergamot. I do get other fruits like apple, peach but they are not the main players here. Florals make an appearance later but again citrus keep shining. It is not a lousy fragrance in terms of performance. It is a beautiful happy fragrance that shines in the summer but also works fine in any other season.

Until next time, Ashh xo
