Eye Creams for Sensitive Skin

You might have heard already that the skin around our eyes is very thin and delicate, and therefore susceptible to aging quicker. If you have super sensitive skin in general, you need to use a dedicated eye cream suitable for your skin type to avoid any sort of irritation. Contact Lens wearers may find regular skincare causes eyes to puff or water. Not only this, if you suffer from rosacea, eczema, or hay fever, you’ll have to take a few things into account like investing in special eye moisturizers suited for sensitive skin.

Though some people do not use a separate eye cream, I believe If eye creams aren’t used as per the skin type, they can elevate the very issues you’re trying to combat, like puffiness or dryness. Luckily, technology has advanced in recent years and there are some really lovely hypoallergenic products, especially eye creams available that are safe to use on sensitive skin.

Ziaja Soothing Eye Gel is for the skin around the eyes and gives it much-needed nourishment and hydration. This eye gel hydrates deeply and soothes irritation in the eye area. The gel is very cooling on the skin and doesn’t irritate my contact lenses either.

Another fab hypoallergenic eye treatment is from Too Cool For School. This Caviar Lime Hydra Eye Treatment is great for all skin types including sensitive and mature skin. It hydrates the skin deeply and smoothes wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes. It also reduces puffiness and dark circles. Overall, a ‘one cream does all’ type of product.

The Avène skincare eye cream gives the delicate skin around the eyes some much-needed nourishment and hydration. It helps in reducing puffiness and dark circles too. It also soothes irritation in the eye area.

Overall, if you wear contact lenses or have sensitive eyes or skin, I suggest opting for hypoallergenic eye creams to make sure the delicate skin around the eyes is not irritated.
