Crystal Noir Eau de Parfum by Versace

My best friend from University used to wear Versace perfumes and she was a huge fan of Versace Blue Jeans perfume which used to come in tin packaging. About 15 years later, I got my first Versace perfume and that’s Crystal Noir!

According to the brand – Versace ‘Crystal Noir’ is a sumptuous fragrance, the olfactory equivalent of a long train on a fabulous evening dress. Multi-faceted like a diamond, sensual and enticing, daring yet reassuring. Versace ‘Crystal Noir’ is a magical fragrance – ethereal yet carnal, an ultra-feminine floral, oriental scent. Its olfactory pyramid is deliberately minimalist in order to enhance the intrinsic elegance of the ingredients. It is a combination that creates a wonderful contradiction, as the two sides of every woman, sweet and sensual, earthy and sophisticated.

I had heard good things about Versace’s Crystal Noir Eau de Parfum in the Fragrance Community. However, when I first smelt it, it wasn’t something that blew my mind immediately. I realized it was the top notes of pepper, cardamom, and ginger that were slightly too much for me. As the perfume starts drying down, gardenia, orange flower and later sandalwood, musk and amber notes take up the fragrance to another level. It becomes the most beautiful, well-done fragrance in the designer house category.

The performance of this fragrance is very impressive. It stays on me for over 8 hours which is worth appreciating for a designer scent.

Versace’s Crystal Noir Eau de Parfum is supposed to be very mysterious yet very sensual. The fragrance was created in 2004 and has been around for quite some time. It is a lovely special occasion cold weather fragrance on a budget. It is perfect for a date night, a romantic evening, a nice dinner fragrance. This fragrance is definitely not for a shy woman – it is for a charismatic woman who knows the business and wants to get noticed.
